AAU’s Halloween Party was a smashing success, transforming Friday night into a brief moment of relaxation and dress-up fun before the grim reality of mid-terms.
The festivities started at 19:30 with free drinks and spooky decorations provided by the Student Council, curating the perfect environment to distract from the mid-term stress and worry. The real party however started when a gang of Oompa-Loompas made a campus appearance.
Around ten students in orange makeup accompanied by a Willy Wonka, mobbed the courtyard with a fun sense of mischief, playing into their characters.
When asked how they were studying a rather loud Oompa-Loompa screamed, “we are preparing though raw peace and serenity throughout the community.”
However, one of the more unique costumes was that of senior year student Maddy, who appeared as a gucci flipflop inspired by the song of the same name by Lil Yachty.
The night concluded with an award ceremony for best costume. A group of students dressed as ‘the mystery gang’ from the hit TV show Scooby Doo, took home the winning prize for best group costume. Shortly after, students once again began dispersing to prepare for the upcoming week of mid-terms.
