AAU Welcomes 100 New Students for Spring Semester

As the new semester began, AAU welcomed 100 new faces onto campus. With returning students and faculty coming back after a five-week break, the semester signals a return to routine and long-term goals.

The spring semester has many exciting moments in store such as the Back to School Party, Trivia Nights, and the much anticipated Spring Gala.

“I can’t wait to feel productive again, work my way up and earn my degree so I can get out in the world,” Toby Dadie, a new spring semester student, said.

With many seeking refuge and warmth from the cold February winds, Cafe des Taxis is full of student chatter again. Inside the cafe, conversations range from weekend plans to academic goals for the months ahead.

“As an exchange student for the 2026 Spring semester here at AAU, I am most excited about exploring Prague, making new friends, and learning as much as I can from my classes.” said Renata Cordero, a spring exchange student from Florida earning her degree in film.

While new students look ahead with anticipation, recent graduates offer perspective shaped by experience.

“Try to enjoy the most of your time here, grow with your friends, learn from them,” said Diego Lopez, a 2025 fall graduate of AAU who studied business administration. “Appreciate your time, take advantage of every opportunity, and don’t think you’re too cool to do an activity. Just do it. Don’t waste a minute, because you’re going to look back and miss it.”

With classes underway and events scheduled throughout the semester, students are settling back into campus life as winter continues.
