American rapper JID gave an energy-fueled performance for dedicated Prague fans this past weekend at SaSaZu Club in Prague 7, in what was his first non-festival show in the Czech capital since 2019.
A hyped-up crowd packed the floor of a relatively small venue to see the recent two-time Grammy nominee impress with an energetic performance, simultaneously demonstrating his jaw-dropping live rapping ability and natural showmanship. JID’s dedicated fanbase made themselves heard throughout the night, chanting and singing along to a setlist of crowd favorites, both old and new, sliding between smoother tracks and hard hitting moshpit-ready anthems.
The Atlanta-born rapper’s visit to Czechia marks the ninth stop on the European leg of “God Does Like World Tours,” a concert tour in support of his fourth studio LP “God Does Like Ugly,” released Aug. 8, 2025. This comes after his two month “God Does Like Paradise,” leg across North America, which included over 30 shows throughout the United States and Canada.
Chicago rapper Mick Jenkins got the night started with his opening set, which featured conviction-filled rapping performances with his signature food-for-thought lyrics over a laid back set of beats. Jenkins thanked the audience for the warm welcome at his first Prague appearance. After Jenkins got the crowd warmed up, the venue stood eagerly awaiting the main event for around 30 minutes, until the lights dimmed and JID took the stage to raucous applause.
The stage design was minimal, with dynamically changing lights illuminating the stage and a simple video board that featured his logo for the duration of the concert. Accompanied by his DJ and longtime producer Christo, JID let his raw performance speak for itself, playing off the engaged crowd with the natural charisma of a clearly veteran performer.
After frontloading the set with a run of hard hitting cuts from his most recent project, including crowd pleasing anthems such as “Glory,” “Community,” and “Gz,” JID populated the middle of the show with fan favorites such as “Off Da Zoinkys” and “Workin Out” from his 2018 “DiCaprio 2” album.
The pace of the show occasionally pivoted to slower moments as well, such as with a soulful rendition of “Kody Blu 31,” where JID got to demonstrate his live singing chops as the crowd gladly assisted with the song’s catchy refrain, followed by “Stars,” which saw the venue illuminated with phone lights at JID’s direction.

The rapper didn’t lose a breath while laying down near-every word of fast paced tracks like “Raydar” and “Dance Now” from his critically acclaimed 2022 record “The Forever Story,” still jumping over the entire stage and keeping the crowd hyped all throughout.
JID’s performance of his breakout 2016 track “NEVER” featured a humorous moment where JID gave the audience a chance to rap the second verse of the song after its beat-switch, only for the crowd to fall flat. The tone was lighthearted though, and the crowd’s blunder was quickly forgotten with the lively performance that followed of the fan-beloved “151 Rum,” which the audience had been chanting for a few songs prior. This perhaps was JID’s most impressive performance of the night, rapping complex rhymes at breakneck speeds without losing a beat or even a bit of energy, and summed up just what makes his concert experience so memorable.
As the set wrapped up, moshing soon began after the first few recognizable notes of “Down Bad,” and continued into the highly anticipated performance of his biggest hit, 2022’s “Surround Sound.” The night ended with a bang, a massive moshpit taking shape as the set closed with the anthemic “Stick.”
The raging remained safe, and the floor was filled with pure energy and fun at the show’s culmination. The adrenaline cooled down and JID made sure to show love to his dedicated fanbase by sticking around to sign vinyl and other merchandise audience members had brought with them while three more tracks played over the speakers.
It was a show that benefited not just from his engaging performance, but the great energy of the crowd, and the connection between those both on and off the stage that made the concert such a feel-good time. JID will continue touring Europe into April, before covering Australia and Asia in the following months, as fans at future shows can expect to be treated to one of the best live performers that hip-hop has to offer.
