AAU Ball Details Announced as Ticket Sales Begin

After months of planning, the anticipated AAU ball, themed “Legends are Made at the Masquerade,” is set to take place on the evening of April 23 in Empire Hall, the same venue as 2024.

Advertised as “an evening of mystery, elegance, and celebration,” students are encouraged to wear a mask along with their formal attire. Student tickets cost 250 CZK, but for other attendees the price is 300 CZK.

“This is a great event to socialize with new people, especially professors. Every event here has that, but you see professors that don’t come to many school events there,” said Bridget, a third-year humanities student.

Included with the ticket is complementary food, an assortment of canapés and a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

“It’s a great way to celebrate those who have worked so hard in the AAU community and should be recognized for their dedication and effort,” says Clara MacPherson, a third-year student and previous Spirit award recipient.

After awards and speeches from staff, student council members and the master of ceremony, the music will commence with either a band or a dj. Hoping to keep a lively atmosphere, the music will focus on ball music for the first hour and then blend into modern music throughout the night.

“This year I’m really excited to actually stay for the dancing part of the ball,” said Amelie Villagómez, a second-year business student.

Tickets are available for purchase online or via the QR code on posters around campus.
